Hi @Doffle,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you’re trying to set up a new HP printer and the HP Smart app gets stuck on the HP+ information screen with no way to continue. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Force close and reopen the HP Smart app
Completely close the HP Smart app (do not leave it running in the background).
Reopen the app and restart the printer setup from the beginning.

Rotate or resize the app window (mobile or tablet users)
If you are using a phone or tablet, rotate the screen from portrait to landscape.
On some devices, the Continue / Accept button is off-screen and becomes visible after rotation.

Scroll the HP+ page carefully
Slowly scroll all the way to the bottom of the HP+ information page.
The continue or accept button only appears after the full page is scrolled.

Update the HP Smart app
Go to the App Store, Play Store, or Microsoft Store and install any pending updates for HP Smart.
Older versions can fail to display HP+ consent buttons correctly.

Check system display scaling (Windows or macOS)
Temporarily set display scaling to 100% in system display settings.
High scaling can hide setup buttons in the HP Smart app.

Restart the device you’re setting up from
Restart your phone, tablet, or computer to clear any app or display glitches.
Reopen HP Smart and try the setup again after reboot.

Try setup from a different device
Install HP Smart on another phone, tablet, or computer and start the setup again.
The HP+ selection is tied to the printer, not the device, and this often bypasses the stuck screen.

Understand HP+ selection behavior
HP+ is optional, but the setup must complete the consent screen to proceed.
If the app cannot register your choice due to a UI issue, setup will not advance even though nothing is wrong with the printer.

I hope this helps.
