I have an HP Color Laserjet M254dw I’ve been using at home  office during this pandemic situation. Now I'm seeing  "supplies are not communicating to the printer" error. Could someone please help in performing a factory defaults reset.

I'd like to help!

 

We can perform a factory defaults on the printer to resolve the issue

 

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

Hi! Would you have a link for M254nw? It need 20200612 Firmware. The one for m254dw doesn't work for me. Thank you

There is a link to Firmware Version 202006102 for HP Color Laserjet M254 Series.

Printer driver should be installed on your computer. When you start the .exe file it asks you to select printer to upgrade/ downgrade.

Please keep in mind your printer has to be with Allow Downgrade ENABLED !

Keep in mind that meanwhile APEX has a solution - a chip for these cartridges covering the new firmware of the printer.
