I have an HP Envy Photo 7800 series printer and an HP All in One Desktop.   Both were compatible until I switched to wireless for both.  Now I cannot print anything.

Hi @Marcia4609

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Switching to a wireless setup can occasionally cause communication issues between your printer and computer.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Printer and Network Connection:

  • Ensure that the wireless function on your printer is enabled. If the wireless light is not on or is blinking, this indicates a connection issue.
  • Run a Wireless Network Test Report from your printer’s control panel to check the status of the network connection.

Reconfigure Wireless Setup:

  • On your printer, press the Wireless button to access the wireless settings.
  • Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer display to reconnect to your wireless network. Make sure you select the correct network name (SSID) and enter the password accurately.
  • Ensure that your computer is connected to the same wireless network.

Wake Up the Printer:

  • If your printer status indicates that it’s asleep, press a button on your printer’s control panel to wake it up.

Check Printer Status on Computer:

  • Make sure your printer is set as the default printer. On Windows, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, and ensure your HP Envy Photo 7800 is set as the default.
  • Check the printer’s status to ensure it is not offline. If it is, right-click on the printer icon and select Use Printer Online.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers and software. You can update them via the HP Smart app or by visiting HP's support website.

Firewall and Antivirus Settings:

  • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software to check if they are blocking the printer from communicating with your computer.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, computer, and router. Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on in the following order: router, printer, and then computer.

By following these steps, your wireless printing should be restored. Let me know how it goes.
