Just installed printer driver on my new Win 10 computer. Trying to print a color document from Word 365. Nowhere can I find control to switch from grayscale to color printing. Not in Control or anywhere. I have years of computer experience and this never happened before. Evidently the ink cartridges are full enough. Is the problem with Word or the printer driver or what????

Welcome to HP Community
I have gone through your Post and would like to help
Please uninstall the printer driver from root level and reinstall the printer using the Windows Built-In driver
1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features
2.) Select your HP Printer
3.) Select Uninstall
4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers
5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose ‘Delete’ or ‘Remove Device’
6.) Open up the run command with the “Windows key + R” key combo.
7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)
8.) Click on the “Drivers” tab
9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom
10.) Select Ok
11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows
12.) Close Devices and Printers
13.) Restart the computer, reinstall the printer using the Windows Built-In driver and follow the onscreen Instructions

Thank you very much, Krazy Toad. I had so many blissful years of simplicity with Win 7 and Word 2007. Now with new Win10, I am assaulted with commercial come-ons and all kinds of intrusive stuff. So I am very suspicious of Windows products and not thrilled with idea of Windows Built-in driver. Of course I acknowledge your expertise, but I'm hoping perhaps there is a different solution? Is the problem solely with the printer driver? Or is it with Word 365?
Your answer will be much appreciated.
Best wishes

Try using the HP Smart App for printing and let me know how it goes

Hi,
thank you, i don't know about printing from SmartHP. I used it only for scan.
I see color settings if i printing from SmartHP. But i need print from MS Office, GIMP, etc (and SmartHP supprts only PDF).
Can i add SmartHP as printer? Or how can i print from other formats than PDF?

Thanks Krazy Toad. Yes I have installed HP Smart. My response is the same as Vasatko. "HP Smart currently supports printing of PDF documents. Print other file types directly from their associated application (e.g. Word, Outlook)." That is the information directly from HP Smart when you click on "Print". Seems to me the fault is with MS Office Word 365. How does one contact a human being to get help from them?

Hi Vasatko, Seems you are doing better than I am. My printer is HP Envy 4520. I don't know where else to get help. I am trying Microsoft but that is like screaming into the wind. Thanks for your message; please let me know what else you find out.

Im test now. I have to download HP 5000 driver. Try to install, and after I had HP folder in Program Files. Then open device manager in Win. Click to update driver on installed HP4535. then select driver from disk (5000 printer driver). After i must in device manager remove print quee for old HP4535. Now i have other print property menu. (finally i remove 4535 driver by printui.exe /s as in reply above)
You can try same, but with envy driver:
