Welcome to the HP Community --
Printers are not generally aware of what they are printing --
Printers do not generally include printer level commands to add content to printed output.
"Yeah, but ..."
Sure, there might a model that does this -- I'm not aware of it.
There are a lot of things I don't know, in fact.
======================================
Examples of methods to add content before print
=======================================
Word Document - Quick Parts Field data
Add content, including time / date stamps to the original document / image.
For example, Word can be made to add field information to a header or footer of the document, including time / date stamp data. The header / footer is part of the document and prints when you print the document. The information updates so the print date should be accurate each time the document is printed.
Example - Word > Insert > Quick Parts
Fields == Page of Page, Author, Filename, PrintDate
Word_Insert_Quick_Parts_Page-of-Page_Author_FileName_PrintDate_1
OR
Use software that will add the information "after the fact".
This one is perhaps less obvious because you need to know which software can add content to a print job at the point where the job is submitted.
General Examples
Adobe Acrobat (paid version) can add easily content to a PDF file.
HP Smart - Windows - Scan > Photo > Optionally Import image > Optionally Edit > Text
HP Smart - Windows - Scan - Document > Optionally Edit > Text
Example
HP_Smart_Win_Scan_Edit_Image_Set_1
OR
Printing from a browser falls into the category of "adding content" after document selection but before print.
Browsers can generally be told to add header / footer data that includes a time / date stamp.
Example plate - Firefox - Browser Print - add header / footer
