ENVY 6030e Printer

I have an Envy 6030e printer and the power on button is at the back of the machine.  Is the printer meant to be left with the power on all the time or should I turn it off when not in use (it is tricky for me to reach the button at the back because of the location of the printer on a shelf)  - it would be easier to leave it on if this is ok.

Welcome to the HP Community.

Yes, leave the printer "on".

When not in use, (and left "on") the printer will enter a low-power mode that allows it to wake up or perform self-maintenance.

If you switch OFF the printer (for example, because you are not using it that day), when the printer is switched on, the "maintenance" cycle is more complete - nice, but it does use more ink and it takes longer, too.

Printer is meant to be left On so it can take care of itself.

Caveat

In the case of having enabled HP+, the printer must be "on" and capable of contacting the HP+ service so the service can monitor the printer.  Reminder:  Enabling HP+ on this type of printer is optional - read the HP+ documents for information on the service.

Additional information for operating the printer is available in the manual
