HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

A person posted a similar problem to mine and I'm hoping for solution for MY printer.  I'm trying to use Adobe Acrobat DC with my new HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M283cdw  printer/scanner/fax.  I have a Dell XPS business laptop.  Connection to the printer is wireless.   I have had the best luck using a TWAIN driver to scan to PDF files.  I'm not given that option, only WIA.  I tried to message HP with no solution given.  Adobe sent me back to HP.  IS there a TWAIN scanner driver for my printer and how do I get it?   Printer was set up through the HP Smart App (as directed by HP) and I can't tell if it includes a TWAIN driver.  (Adobe Acrobat Pro DC is my primary pdf handler and running Acrobat DC with the WIA driver doesn't work with the document feeder beyond 2 pages, and the scanner can't seem to automatically sense anything about jobs.)   Thank  you in advance for any help.

Hi @KHunter1

Welcome to the HP Support Community. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

I see that you are facing issues with your printer. Do not worry, we are here to fix it.

Twain drivers are mostly used on enterprise printers. As you are using a consumer printer it is not compliant with TWAIN drivers.

Refer this article to know more information about twain compatible printers. Click Here

Also, if have scanning issues, try scanning using HP smart app or HP scan and capture app.

Lastly, if nothing works remove and reinstall the full feature printer software on the PC. (Windows Only)

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.
Select your HP printer.
Select Uninstall.
In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.
In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”
Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.
Type printui.exe /s and click OK.
Click on Drivers tab.
Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.
Select OK.
Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.
Close Devices and Printers.

Update the full feature printer software using this link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/drivers

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
