@Ft_Tracy, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Smart Setup Error Code EBS00P0010!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Error code EBS00P0010 indicates there is an issue during the setup of your HP printer, particularly when using HP Smart. Here are several steps you can take to resolve this issue while setting up your HP 2852e printer using truck stop WiFi:

Stable Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that the WiFi connection is stable and has a strong signal. If possible, try connecting to another network to verify if the issue is related to the truck stop WiFi.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, smartphone or computer, and the WiFi router to refresh the system connectivity.

Check HP Smart App:

  • Ensure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your device. Consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app to ensure a fresh setup process.

Printer Firmware Update:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. You can do this via the HP Smart app or the HP website. Updating the firmware may resolve connectivity issues.

Manual Connection:

  • Try setting up the printer manually using the WiFi Direct feature or through USB connection as a temporary measure to establish basic functionality.

Disable VPNs and Firewalls:

  • If you're using a VPN or have firewall settings enabled, disable them temporarily during the setup process to avoid any interference with network communication.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
