Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Envy 5640 recently lost its wifi connection.  Its icon was also greyed out in the PC's Control Panel's section for printers and scanners. 

 

I have got it connected to the wifi again and now have a new active icon for it in Control Panel (though I cannot delete the previous greyed-out icon). 

 

Printing and scanning are now working again.  But there used to be an icon on the PC desktop that opened a dashboard which allowed me to give printing or scanning instructions from the PC.   This icon has disappeared.

 

How can I get an icon to the dashboard back please?

Thank you HP Support for your private message via email and your offer to sort out the matter by phone.  I have, however, now found the missing Dashboard icon buried in the Start menu and it works.  So the problem appears to be solved.

5640 updated recently. Since then the old dashboard icon does not now launch the printer screen and I cannot print or scan.

Diagnostics prove the scan works, how do I get my shortcut icon back?
