MFP M577z and MFP M577c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't seem to locate where to turn on the option for the staple units for the MFP M577z and M577c printers.  I believe the issue might be that the printer / printer driver is not setup correctly since in the general tab of the printer driver under the Features information section is shows various informational capabilities of the device (i.e. color=yes, speed= 38ppm, maximum resolution= 1200 dpi,) it shows staple: NO.  This is although the printers have the staple units with cartridges within them.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Your printer model doesn't have an automatic stapler/stacker finisher.

You have a convenience stapler where you insert sheets you want to staple, and then stapler is triggered and inserted sheets stapled. There is nothing to turn ON, stapler uses only power supply from the printer it's a device by itself separated from a printers engine.

Thank you so much for your help!  For some reason I had it in my mind that it was to staple the pages as they were being printed although; until you mentioned "convenience stapler", I didn't even think about it not even being physically positioned so that it was in the output paper path.  Sometimes the obvious escapes the nose one our face :-).  Thank you!
