Hi @bermelievrr,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re encountering issues with driver installation due to missing or outdated components. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue.

Check Windows Installer Version

  • Ensure that Windows Installer 3.1 or later is installed on your system. Windows Installer 3.1 is typically included with Windows XP SP2 and later versions, but you might need to install it manually.
  • You can download Windows Installer 3.1 from the Microsoft Download Center.

Install or Update Microsoft .NET Framework

  • Make sure you have the required version of the Microsoft .NET Framework. Most HP printer drivers need at least .NET Framework 3.5 or later.
  • You can download the .NET Framework from the Microsoft .NET Framework page.

Download the Latest Driver

  • Go to the HP support website and download the latest driver for the HP LaserJet Pro MFP 4103dw.
  • Here’s the link to the HP Support page where you can find drivers: HP LaserJet Pro MFP 4103dw Drivers.

Uninstall Previous Driver Versions

  • Sometimes, previous installations or partial installations can cause conflicts. Uninstall any existing HP printer drivers from Control Panel > Programs and Features.

Run the Installer as Administrator

  • Right-click on the driver installation file and select “Run as administrator” to ensure it has the necessary permissions to install.

Check for Windows Updates

  • Ensure your Windows operating system is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and install any available updates.

Compatibility Mode

  • If you are using an older version of Windows, try running the installer in compatibility mode. Right-click the installer file, go to Properties > Compatibility, and select an appropriate version of Windows.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
