Hello,
my printer HP Deskjet 1050 works perfectly but the latest version of the installed drivers is not recognized by the system "MAC OS CATALINA" which tells me there may be some malware. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the problem seems to be unsolved. Can you create a driver update for this printer and make sure I don't have to throw it away? It would be a pity and a waste. Thanks so much.

Yes, they don’t seem to care - there is a 4 page discussion from over 1 year ago outlining same problem with my printer model too - laserjet cp 1025nw
after updating to Mac OS catalina - “signal failed”
Printer still works fine on my windows work laptop lol so now I have to carry my personal files from my Mac to work laptop on a flash drive every single time I want to print.
and everything else *except this printer* continued to operate normally after installing Catalina 10.15 so...
No, it’s not malaware, I have run checks.
Its STILL a printer driver issue.
STILL Zero useful response from HP
drivers don’t work
uninstall reinstall didn’t work
firmware update gives an error
remove / add printer
restart blah blah
airprint ya da ya da ya da
ALL DIDNT WORK with my model eventually it just went silent in the discussion , leaving everyone with the lame suggestions.... by the time we sign up for a forum like this we’ve already done those things... and found them by ourselves and it didn’t work!
so when my windows laptop finally returns to the office I’ll be trashing a perfectly functional HP printer and not buying from HP again. Because frankly I haven’t had hassle like this with a peripheral device eating up hours of my time in troubleshooting - since 2005 or something .
Oh and right now... in a pandemic ... working from home with no back up printers I can add 💁🏻
Hopefully your printer model has a different option / solution available or a different driver update, instead of the *discard* the rest of us have experienced.
