Microsoft Windows 11

I'm trying to print a mixed paper size document.  The print preview size and the stated document size in the print dialog box don't match. When document is printed, the paper size in wrong.  I've spent countless hours on the phone with Brother printers customer service trying to resolve the issue.  The printer settings were double checked and triple checked and set by Brother Customer Service.  Brother driver and utilities were downloaded as well.  They said the problem is not with them.  The document has to be opened with Adobe Reader, which was done.

Welcome to the HP English Community --

From your description, it sounds like you have a Brother printer.

Windows, the application or Software you are using to configure and submit the job, plus any full driver printer software you can install (for your printer),  are in charge of how document content is printed.

------------------------------------------------

We do not offer support for Brother printers --

The following is general advice offered FYI

Print PDF content using Adobe Reader DC.

Ignore the suggestions if not relevant.

------------------------------------------------

Perhaps your Brother printer cannot reconcile different paper sizes in spite of having Adobe Reader set to "Shrink oversized pages".

Many home printers do not include a paper sensor that supports "Choose paper source by PDF page size".

Avoid using that setting on printers that do not support the option.

What to do?

Perhaps print your document in Adobe Reader using the "Pages to Print" option and Page Range.

For example,

In the first job, Print the pages that are one size

Select / use Size > "Fit", "Custom Scale" plus percentage of 100%, "Shrink oversized papers".

Then

In a different job, print the pages that are a page different size

Select / use Size > "Fit", "Custom Scale" plus percentage of 100%, "Shrink oversized papers".

The following illustration is relevant only to the extent that the main Adobe Reader Print Menu might be similar.

The main menu is shown in the top - left of the example.
