I'm trying to install HP LaserJet 1018 Printer in my Windows 10 computer and I do not have the Installation CD and my computer does not list the printer when I try to add it. So I installed HP Print and Scan Doctor which does identify the printer and provided me with a link to download the installation driver (http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Nav?h_pagetype=s-002&h_lang=es&h_cc=ve&h_product=1814093&h_client=s-a...) but the link does not work.
HP website for my printer: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-laserjet-1018-printer/1814092
Help, please!!
P.D: This does not work for me https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01796879

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
I see that the full feature software for Windows 10 is not available for your printer. You need to install the printer using the Windows built-in drivers.
I recommend you create a new user account on the computer following the steps in the below article and then try to install the printer and check.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

I am using my admin account to try to run the Print and Scan Doctor. The link that it is trying to hit is DEAD (your site software won't allow me to paste the exact link). This is NOT an admin/permissions issue. It is a dead link on your site's end. Please get this rectified ASAP.

What is the exact model for your printer?
What is the exact issue you are facing?
As informed in my previous post, if you are trying to install the full feature software for Windows 10, it is not available HP LaserJet 1018 Printer. You need to install the printer using the Windows built-in drivers.
If you are using a different printer model then let me know the exact model for that I can assist you better.
Cheers!

Thank you for the quick reply. It is indeed an HP 1018 LaserJet printer, and we are using Windows 10 Enterprise (64 bit). I also tried to get the drivers for Win7, but it takes me to the same Print and Scan Doctor that can't connect. Is there a way to directly download just the driver by itself, rather than using the Print and Scan Doctor utility (am I missing something?)
Thanks!

Hi, I have already tried that method and it did not work. The printer does not appear listed as it says on step 8 (Click HP, Hewlett-Packard, or Hewlett Packard in the Manufacturer pane, and then click the name of your printer in the Printers pane).
My problem as @Morama1 said, is that the link that HP Print and Scan Doctor provided me with is broken on your end.
1. Select product (printer)
2. Install Software
3. Obtain installer (driver), it opens a link on a browser
4. Link provided HP Print and Scan Doctor cannot be opened, it's BROKEN

This might require remote access of the computer to fix this issue.
I request you to talk to HP support.
They might have multiple options to help you with this.
- Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
- Select the country.
- Enter the serial of your device.
- Select the country from the drop-down.
- Click on "Show Options".
- Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
