Hello Rajan54,

Thank you for posting your concern,

If your printer is repeatedly stuck on a validation process and isn't proceeding to print, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps for Printer Validation Issues

  1. Check Connection:

    • Ensure that your printer is properly connected to either your computer or the network.
    • If it's a wired printer, verify that the USB or Ethernet cable is securely connected.
    • For wireless printers, confirm that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  2. Restart Devices:

    • Power off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
    • Restart your computer or any devices that are connected to the printer.
  3. Clear Print Queue:

    • Go to your computer's printer settings and clear any pending documents in the print queue that might be causing the blockage.
  4. Update Drivers:

    • Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for your printer model. Visit the HP support website to download and install any updates.
  5. Reinstall the Printer:

    • Remove the printer from your device's list of printers and reinstall it. This process can sometimes resolve persistent validation errors.
  6. Check for Firmware Updates:

    • Visit the HP support website to check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix software-related issues.
  7. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

    • This is a free tool offered by HP for troubleshooting printing and scanning problems in Windows. Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve issues automatically.
  8. Examine Ink/Toner Cartridges:

    • Ensure that the ink or toner cartridges are properly installed. Check for any empty or improperly installed cartridges that might cause validation to fail.

If after following these steps the printer is still not functioning correctly, contacting HP Support for further assistance might be necessary. They can provide more advanced troubleshooting or determine if the issue might require professional servicing.
