Hi @loumalt,
I'd like to help!
No, you do not have to remove any of those functions for the printer to work.
Are you facing an issue while printing?
If so, please brief me on the issue.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Thanks for responding Jay_G24 to my question. Since I asked my question I decided to remove all of the HP downloads and wait to see if I got a response and advice. I have a Deskjet 3755.
When I tried to print downloads from the internet or documents that I previously saved, if the document printed it would be 20-30 minutes or longer before it would start to print, might print the same document more than once or not print at all.
When I had previously downloaded the drivers, I received messages saying the all-in-one was
Status: 'ready'
installation Status: Installed
Connection Status: Active
USB: status connected
Then it would say "The printer could not connect to the server."
These mixed message are why I remove and unplugged everything hoping to start over with advice and instructions.
I wish to stay connected by USB and not wireless.
Thanks

Let's try a power reset on the printer
Reset the product
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the printer.
- Turn the printer on. HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Update the printer firmware - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
Try the steps in the document -Slow Printing (Windows)
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

OK, I connected the printer with the USB cord, followed the instructions and downloaded the drivers and software from HP Smart.
It said it was installed.
But, as before, when it went to Printer Setup it continues to say USB not connected to printer - Make sure your printer is powered on and connected to your computer using a USB cable.
Offering two choices:
Show Me How
or
Retry
I've retried 3 times, no success.

Hi, still trying.
I tried 3 different USB cables without any success.
I tried updating the printer firmware and followed all of the instructions and the result each time is that it can't find the printer. The window that is supposed to display the Serial Number always comes up empty.

Is there antivirus software installed on your computer? If yes, please try disabling it and check if it works.
If the device is not detected, it may not be receiving enough power or it may be blocked by internet security software.
You may also try other ports on the hub or a different cable.
Go to devices and printers, right-click on the printer --->printer properties-->ports and check the port the printer is connected to
Let me know!

Hi, I did try 3 different USB cables yesterday and used both of the USB ports available with no success. I plugged in different flash drives into the USB ports to make sure that they were working properly and was able to access the info on them. I moved the printer so that it is plugged directly into the wall socket. Any antivirus program on the computer expired.
Yesterday I got conflicting messages that 'this device is working properly' in the HP DeskJet 3700 series Properties window and other windows say the printer can't be found, such as when the serial number is supposed to appear and it doesn't.
I took a chance and attempted to print a document - about 3 hours and 20 minutes later the document was printed.
So, I would assume that even if it says the printer can't be found there is some connection.
Is there anything else to try other than just starting over and trying to do it wirelessly?
Thanks
