I have an apple computer and an HP color laser jet printer.  When I print 2 pages back to back the second is upside down.  How do I fix that problem?

Hi @marilyn204

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If you are experiencing the issue where the second page of a two-sided print job comes out upside down, you can adjust your printing preferences to fix this by selecting specific settings in your printer driver for the HP Color LaserJet printer.

Here’s how you can resolve the issue:

Open the Printer Driver:

  • On your Apple computer, navigate to the File menu in the software program you are using.
  • Select the printer and then click on “Properties” or “Preferences.” If you are using Mac OS, you may access the print settings directly from the print dialog box.

Duplex Printing Settings:

  • Click the "Finishing" tab in the printer driver.
  • Ensure that "Print on both sides" is selected for duplex printing.
  • To fix the upside-down issue, look for a checkbox or option labeled "Flip pages up." This setting determines the binding edge for duplex printing. When selected, it should resolve the orientation issue.

Orientation Adjustments:

  • If the "Flip pages up" feature does not directly address the problem, you might need to check the orientation settings. Navigate to the "Orientation" area within the same "Finishing" tab and ensure that the correct orientation is selected.

Print a Test Document:

  • After making these adjustments, try printing a test document to ensure that the pages print correctly with the desired orientation.

Following these steps should resolve the upside-down printing problem when using duplex settings on your HP Color LaserJet printer.
