I am hoping you can help me resolve a problem.

I have written a children’s book which I hope will be sold to raise funds for the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway. The intention is that the book will be produced in booklet form using A3 paper folded to produce an A4 sized booklet.

The manuscript has been produced using Microsoft word for the text and Microsoft Visio and .jpeg images for the illustrations. It is currently an A4 document which I am trying to turn into a booklet. I have an HP 9010 inkjet printer (an excellent printer) which has been used to produce the draft manuscript.

When I try to produce the manuscript in booklet format, I am unable to select a larger paper size than A4. I am guessing this is determined by the print driver.  I cannot justify or afford a dual paper A3/A4 printer, so I am a bit stuck to say the least. Is there any way I can trick my printer into thinking it can print to A3 size?

Maybe some clarification would help. What do you mean by trick? Booklet printing on an A3 would be the equivalent of printing two a4 pages. Aside from possible page order issues, can you not simply print the booklet full sized on A4 and then bind them? You only other option on an A4 only printer is to print the booklet in that size which will mean you wind up with an A5 sized booklet.
