I am sooo frustrated with HP right now I just need to vent. I just spent over 2.5 hours installing a new printer for a tech-phobic friend. The installation process was frought with errors, but the most annoying one was being asked for the printers WPS PIN (with no instruction as to where to find it) and no pin displayed on the printer.

 

I found a printer PIN on the back label, next to the ink cartridges and on the setup page I printed (all the same number) but was told it wasn't in the correct format.

 

I suspect what was wanted was a shorter one-time PIN, but there was none to be found.

 

I eventually downloaded the offline installer, still ran into difficulty but at least I had an option (asmall, simple text link that's easy to miss) to install the drivers anyway. After that everything worked fine. But I have never been so frustrated with an installation process in my life!
