Hello all,
Just after some help setting up a new printer. I'm trying to add a HP Photosmart Premium All In One Printer/Scanner/Copier/Web to my Mac. The operating system I'm currently using is OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5. When I put the disc in to set up the printer I'm getting a message saying "This installer is not compatible with the version of the operating system on your computer. It is compatible only with the 10.6 and below. for information visit www.hp.com."
Is there some way around this that I can install the printer. It is two years old but brand new & never been used.
Sorry but I'm hopeless with computer etc. Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards,
Leigh

Thanks for clarifying Leigh,
Please follow the steps below to install the printer on Yosemite (OS X 10.10), the drivers are available via Apple Software Update and you should not isntall any HP software in advance:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04510394
Additionally you may install HP Easy Scan to allow full scan capabilities and front panel scanning:

Hi Leigh,
Please clarify the exact printer model as listed at the front of your printer:

The steps varies for different printer models.

Hi Shlomi,
Thanks for your reply. On the front of the printer it just says "HP Photosmart Premium", it has a Touchpad screen & on the other side of that it says "ePrint Wireless"
Sorry I can't find a model number.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Leigh

Thank you so much Shlomi. I followed the links you suggested & installed the drivers and have now been able to print a page. Now it just seems to be a bit finicky with feeding the paper & tells me I need to load more paper but there is already paper in the feeder. I gently fed the paper by hand and was able to print a page.
Thank you again for your help with this.
Kind regards,
Leigh
