HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I am trying to locate the full Windows 11 feature driver for the HP Photosmart C5280 All-in-One printer. . The printer is about 10 years old and is only USB cable connected. The Microsoft driver provided in WIN11 does not support or recognize the printer.  The printer works on my other laptop and Windows 10.  Every path I have taken within HP support always leads back to using the driver provided by Windows, which I cannot locate or download. Not sure it exists. Any guidance or support to help me connect the printer to Windows 11 will be most appreciated. I do not want to have to buy a new printer as this one works fine. Thanks in advance for any help!

This printer is not supported in Windows 11.

If it works in Windows 10, you'll have to use the printer on a system where that OS is running.

OK, I was afraid that was the case. It is frustrating that a perfectly good printer cannot be utilized on Windows 11 OS. I cannot help but wonder why HP or MS don't allow for updates to be made available for devices- no matter how old they may be. Thanks for you help with this.

You are welcome.

Yes, it's sad when old tech cannot be used with new tech.

It eventually happens.

Go along as you can - when you are ready to do so, consider a nice, shiny, new printer.
