I spent an hour with Microsoft support, he was even in the Macbook but eventually he passed and said it was not a Word problem. I might try deleting Word and reinstalling, will get back to you.

Sounds good, let me know the outcome.

Hi should be bald by now!, still no good. Deleted Word and downloaded and reinstalled a new one...Same result.

Last summarise before we shut this down:

Installed Microsoft 365 onto MacBook Air 2017 and iMac.

On the iMac all is perfect.

Macbook will not print more than 1 copy of a doc. from MS Word.

Yet it prints multiple copies in Google , TextEdit and will print PDF files from HP Smart

Take out the printer because it can print multiples in other apps.

Take out Word as the iMac and Macbook has same OSX Ver 11.5.

Just leaves the Macbook as the culprit.

If it is why did it just start doing it when a later version of Word was installed?

I think you have given this your best shot and when I want multiple copies I will transfer the file to the iMac.

Thanks for your help, I hope I can forget this problem but it just nags at me and one day (maybe) someone can suggest a fix.

I understand your frustration, as this is not a printer issue and we have tried everything from our end.

I would recommend you reach apple and check with them as we have ruled out the printer and the application.

Hope my suggestion helps

Stay safe!
