Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Trying to load driver for an HP5255 printer onto an ancient laptop with Windows XP. Two loooong evenings so far, WITH help from AI, and still haven't gotten it done. The system keeps blocking every possible workaround. PLEASE NOTE: I am not tech savvy. I am an 83 year old grandma, trying to solve a problem that is way over my head.

Hi @Judmilla 

  • Be aware that A.I. artificial intelligence sometimes could provide wrong answers.

Please follow the next steps to install your printer:

1). Connect printer with a USB cable

2). Then install the next software driver:

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted as Solution when question is answered.
