Trying to set up second hand 2700 Deskjet

I cannot finish setting up my second hand 2700 Deskjet printer as it requires set up ink cartridges.  I have tried taking black out then colour cartridge out as suggested but no luck.  Could somebody please advise on how to move forward with set up with new cartridges purchased from HP?

Thank you so much for advice on resetting cartridges.   Printer decided to work and all has been well until I needed to change ink cartridges.  Bought these from HP and now back with the same problem of not printing and this time, resetting does not work.   I am at a loss!
