I have a HP Deskjet 3050 J610 Series. I also have a new MacBook M3 laptop running Sonoma. Are these two compatible?

Hi @JH546,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Deskjet 3050 J610 Series is compatible with macOS, including the latest versions. However, it's essential to make sure you have the correct drivers installed on your MacBook running macOS Sonoma.

Here are the steps to set up your HP Deskjet 3050 J610 Series on macOS Sonoma:

Connect your Printer:

  • Make sure your HP Deskjet 3050 J610 Series is properly connected to your MacBook via USB or a wireless connection.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure that your macOS Sonoma is up-to-date. Check for any available updates and install them.

Install the Printer Driver:

  • Visit the official HP website or use the HP Easy Start utility to download and install the latest printer drivers for macOS Sonoma. You can find the drivers on the HP support page for your specific printer model.

Follow Installation Instructions:

  • Once the driver is downloaded, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process.

Test the Printer:

  • After installation, try printing a test page to ensure that the printer is working correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
