I've always used Dell until I recently got fed up when it proved impossible to get a replacement part still under warranty because of their inept customer support. I bought a new HP laptop and I'm trying to set up my dell e514w printer on it. It will detect my printer when I click add printer but I select my printer it will say connecting for a bit then give me an error message something like error 00x0000002.

This may be a driver issue and you will need to engage Dell to find drivers for your Dell printer.

thanks, i downloaded the drivers from dell but when i try to run the setup it defaults to no when it asks it you want to allow this app to make changes to my device, the no is highlighted blue and if you try to click yes instead it just closes

thanks again, eventually figured it out using ssid didn't have to install dell drivers
