Got an HP 4310 Deskjet printer which works well printing out documents etc.  However if I try to print out a **bleep**, it automatically switches over to a PDF conversion and this will not print.  I cannot find a way to switch off this conversion as all web help has settings I cannot find.  I do have HP Smart installed.

Hi @Jo605,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

To permanently turn off HP’s AI-optimized print formatting that automatically converts items to PDFs, you can adjust the preference via your Windows settings.

Follow these steps to turn it off:

Open Windows Settings: Press the Windows Key + I on your keyboard to open your PC settings.

Go to Devices & Printers: Search for and open "Printers & Scanners".

Select Your Printer: Click on your HP Deskjet 4310 from the list of available devices.

Change Printing Preferences: Look for "Printing preferences" or "Manage".

Turn Off HP AI: Click on the Advanced tab. Locate the HPAI (HP AI) drop-down menu and change it to "Off".

Save Changes: Click Apply and then OK to save your new settings.
