How do I turn off HP Web Services? I opened the EWS and selected the web services tab. There is no option to turn off the web services.

@RFMJ, Thanks for the update, and I completely understand your frustration — it can be confusing when the option you're expecting just isn’t there.
In some models, especially after firmware updates or Instant Ink deactivation, the “Remove Web Services” button might not show up. When that happens, the easiest workaround is to reset the network settings on the printer, which typically disables Web Services in the process.
You can usually do this from the printer’s control panel:
Setup > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults
(Exact steps may vary by model.)
After the reset, open the EWS again — Web Services should be off by default. Let me know your printer model if you need more specific steps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

@RFMJ, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Turning Off HP Web Services!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
To turn off HP Web Services using the Embedded Web Server (EWS), you typically follow these steps:
Open the EWS: Ensure that you have opened the Embedded Web Server by typing your printer's IP address into a web browser address box.
Navigate to the Web Services Tab: Click the Web Services tab. This tab allows you to manage various web services related features on your printer.
Remove Web Services:
- In the Web Services Settings section, click on "Remove Web Services."
- Confirm the removal by clicking "Yes" when prompted.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

Thank you for replying to my post.I followed the instructions that you posted. As I stated in my original post" There is no option to turn off the web services." Nowhere on my screen is there anything to select or click on that will let me turn off web services. I had canceled my instant ink subscription because HP raised the subscription fee by 50%. I have figured out that the increase will cost me less than buying certified HP brand Toner cartridges, or buying a new printer. I guess I am going to have to reinstate my instant ink subscription.
Thank You
