@CCbrowne, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP DeskJet 2721e All-in-One Printer.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

I'm here to assist you with issues regarding HP products. If your HP DeskJet 2721e All-in-One Printers are not working after the expiration of their warranty, this could be due to a variety of reasons unrelated to the warranty status. Here are some steps you can try to diagnose and possibly resolve the issue:

Troubleshooting Steps for HP DeskJet 2721e All-in-One Printer

  1. Check Power and Connections:
  2. Ensure that the printer is plugged in and turned on.
  3. Verify that the power cord and USB cable (if used) are securely connected.

  4. Restart Printer:

  5. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging it back in and turning it on.

  6. Check for Error Codes or Lights:

  7. Look at the printer's display (if available) or status lights to identify any error codes or flashing lights that could indicate a specific issue.

  8. Update Printer Firmware:

  9. Visit the HP Support page to download the latest firmware for your printer model if there are known issues resolved by updates.

  10. Perform a Hard Reset:

  11. Turn the printer off, disconnect the power cord from the printer and any power source. Wait 60 seconds and then reconnect and turn the printer back on.

  12. Check Software and Drivers:

  13. Ensure that you have the latest software and drivers installed for your printer. They can be downloaded from the HP support website particular to your printer model.

  14. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  15. This is a free tool provided by HP to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. Download and run it from the HP support website.

I hope this helps!

Take care and have an amazing day!
