When I look at printer preferences, I see shortcuts such as Factory Defaults, Eco-Smart, etc. Best I can tell, Factory Defaults are modifiable to 2-sided printing only for one occasion, then switch back to 1-sided, and are not permanently alterable. I guess that is why they are called factory defaults. A problem with this is that Softmaker's Textmaker's quick print is according to "factory default", so in my context there is a need to change the factory default, which cannot be done permanently?

So if I want 2-sided printing all the time, is there a way to tell the printer to always use some other shortcut in the list, whether prearranged or a custom one that I create? Or is the design intent that I have to click on a shortcut with every print occasion, which sounds unlikely because too burdensome.
