OfficeJet Pro 9015e
Microsoft Windows 11

Been trying to add a printer to an account to do some test prints. I am about to chuck this awful thing into the dumpster. It's nearly brand new because of how little it has been used.

Model: OfficeJet Pro 9015e

Issue: Keeps failing to register the printer to my account and the printer keeps complaining of an issue with the HP account.

Mitigation steps:

1) Factory reset of the printer... multiple times.

2) Firmware update. This wasn't working for a while because of the account requirement, but I was able to get it updated to a March 17, 2025 firmware.

3) Reinstalled HP Smart (dumb) software and repaired it multiple times.

4) Used a second burner HP account in case the original account was the issue.

5) Attempted to finish setup on the printer itself.

6) Checked HP account notifications. Nothing here since I can't complete the process of adding the printer.

7) There are no VPNs or special firewalls in the network. Both the PC and the printer are wired to the same network. The HP software can detect the printer and make settings changes to it, but not complete the setup.

I'm at a loss of what to do. Everything has been reset multiple times. Is this hunk of plastic and metal only useful as dumpster fill?
