UA_400_EB000U0410. Bought the printer pre owned. For some reason i get this error. I believe it needs to be removed from the orginal owners account so I can then set it up with my hp account.

Hi  @Wjjjjjrab

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand your concern after purchasing a pre-owned printer and encountering the UA_400_EB000U0410 error during setup. I can imagine how  it must be when you're eager to get the printer connected to your HP account and running properly. Dont worry let me help you with this.

While it may seem related to the printer being linked to the previous owner's HP account, error code UA_400_EB000U0410 typically indicates an issue with the printer's system. Try performing the below troubleshooting steps  , as they can often resolve the error.

1. Restart the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer using the power button.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.

2. Check for Paper Jams

  1. Remove any loose or jammed paper from the input and output trays.
  2. Open the cartridge access door and inspect the paper path.
  3. Carefully remove any obstructions you find without tearing the paper.

3. Inspect the Ink Cartridges

  1. Open the ink cartridge access door.
  2. Verify that all cartridges are properly installed in their correct slots.
  3. Check for any ink leaks, debris, or damage and gently clean the contacts if needed.

4. Verify Network Connection

  1. Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  2. Review the network settings from the printer's control panel and confirm they are configured correctly.

5. Update the Printer Firmware

  1. Use the HP Smart App or visit the HP Support website to check for available firmware updates.
  2. Install any updates that are available for your printer model.

6. Perform a Factory Reset

  1. Access the printer settings through the HP Smart App or the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).
  2. Navigate to Settings or System and select Restore Factory Defaults.
