(re)Installation will not complete - although the printer was previously connected without a problem - error message says "connection to internet not found ..."

 

My computer internet connection is fine and the printer shows connected to wifi - little blue light is on.

 

I just wanted to reinstall drivers because two things are not working. Won't print envelopes and wont scan from the printer to the computer anymore. I have to do the scans manually and initiate that from the app (that I just uninstalled) to the printer.

 

I would rather have those little problems - right now I have NO printer connected!

(1) Check driver installation using the HP Print Doctor:

(2) Then try to install the basic driver:

>> https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/PW477/Basic_Webpack_x64-38.9.2003-PW477_DW_Basicx...

 

* Click YES   to say thank you,

I think I have a different problem than previously stated.  My printer seems to be working with the computer, but what is missing is the ability to access the app on the computer.  I don't know if that makes sense - so I will try to make some sense.  I did an uninstall, as previously stated.  Then tried to reinstall via various options on the HP download page.  Nothing would complete - BUT - when I printed from any program printing worked fine (still can't get an envelope to print no matter what I try, but the scan from the printer was working for the first time in quite awhile.).

 

Now I am trying to scan from my computer and I can't find the icon I previously used for that.  I tried installing the HP Smart and get an error message that it can not install.

 

I did the scan doctor for print and scan and got an all clear on that.  I haven't reinstalled anything since trying to do so the other day.

 

Perhaps I am beyond help at this point.

Well, not sure what is the problem in your Windows system, sometimes Windows Updates breaks the normal operation.

 

Just we need to make a list to make some sense about it:

- Printer is working - Ok. (Problem solved).

- Scanner is not working.

 

So for the scanner follow next steps:

 

* Click YES   to say thank you, 

* Click Accepted Solution when question is answered.
