I just purchased an HP Laserjet 1018, the previous owner said this printer has always worked great and they were only replacing it as when they upgraded to windows 11 it wasn't compatible. When I got home I setup the printer and turned it on and started my laptop, got the message that a new printer was being setup. The setup appeared to go well everything appears correct and the printer is recognized by Ubuntu, however when I try to print I get the message that 1 file is printing and then another message telling me printing is complete. The problem is the printer is doing nothing, it does not print at all. I have tried restarting the laptop and the printer several times to no avail. I am running Ubuntu 24.04.02.

1. You may need to enter a command in the Ubuntu Terminal to install driver for HP printer
sudo apt-get install hplip-gui
2. And then open the HPLIP Toolbox to start driver installation.
