Have been unable to download HP Smart from Google Play, HP or the Microsoft Store.  Within the past week, removed an HP 8710 All in One from my desktop, along with the HP Smart software, and installed and setup a new HP 9020e All in One, thinking I would download and re-install a new version of HP Smart.  I am able to print from my desktop computer but, when trying to download and install HP Smart, I get an error message that the download failed, with this error message: "There has been an error".  Same response regardless of where I attempt to download from.  Have been online over 4 days with 4 different HP techs, and while they were helpful, none could solve the problem.  And, yes, I downloaded HP Easystart and tried running it multiple times. 

 

And, yes, the new printer is connected to the network, and the blue wifi light is lit.  When I try and open HP Scan I get an error message that the 9020 printer was not found.  I think that if I could somehow obtain a copy of HP Smart I could complete a full installation but have tried every which way to download without success.  Is there a copy of HP Smart available that I can obtai

  • Use a Different Web Browser: Try downloading HP Smart using a different web browser. If you were using Google Chrome, switch to Firefox, Microsoft Edge, or another browser to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Download from an Alternate Device: If possible, try downloading HP Smart from a different device, such as another computer or a mobile device. Once downloaded, you can transfer the installer file to your desktop computer using a USB drive or another method.
  • Clear Browser Cache: Sometimes, browser cache can cause issues with downloads. Clear your browser's cache and try downloading HP Smart again.
  • Firewall or Antivirus Software: Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the download. Temporarily disable it and attempt the download again. Remember to re-enable it afterward.
  • Download from HP Official Website: Ensure you are downloading the software from the official HP website. Visit the official HP Smart page and try downloading the software directly from there: HP Smart
  • Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable. A weak or unstable connection can lead to download failures.
