On Mac OS Sequoia and I can't print in color. I've looked at an older issue but the driver I tried to download and install is for 15 or earlier. Need help.

Hi @CiCi2025,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you’re experiencing a frustrating issue, but I’m here to help you get those color prints flowing again! 🎨 Let's resolve this step by step.

1. Confirm Ink Cartridge & Installation

Make sure you're using genuine HP 910/910XL cartridges and that the color cartridge is firmly snapped into place until you hear a click.

2. Print a Color Test Report

On the printer’s control panel:

  1. Tap Setup (⚙️)
  2. Go to ReportsPrint Quality Report

This helps identify whether the issue lies with cartridges, the printhead, or alignment.

3. Clean the Printhead

Still in Printer Maintenance:

  • Select Clean Printhead, and confirm.
  • The printer will print a test page, review for missing colors.
  • If still faded or blank, run Clean Again up to three times.
  • Wait around 30 minutes before repeating cleaning if needed.

4. Align the Printhead

After cleaning, choose Align Printhead from the same Printer Maintenance menu. This ensures color no longer shifts or disappears.

5. Check Ink Levels & Replace If Needed

  • Confirm ink levels via the printer screen or HP app.
  • Even new cartridges may be flagged, so replacing both black and color cartridges can often solve the issue.

6. Update Printer Firmware

  1. Connect the printer to Wi‑Fi.
  2. Visit HP’s support page for the HP OfficeJet 8015e All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support.
  3. Download and install the latest firmware via HP Smart or driver tools.
  4. Restart your printer afterwards.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
