HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-in-One Printer

Purchased a HP 6458E and  tried to used the  Bluetooth on the  phone to  access the wireless to  do the set up.  Tried many times on two different  routers. Restarted  printers and phone. It locked up.   Frustrated after Hours,  I did the the mistake of using the USB to access the  drivers on line.  But now  don't have control the the HP app on the phone. to use the advanced  features.  How  can  I  access these  features

If you're experiencing difficulty accessing HP Smart to set up or manage your HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-In-One Printer, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

 

Check Your Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer and the device you're using to access HP Smart are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

 

Download and Install HP Smart:

  • Make sure you have the HP Smart app installed on your mobile device or computer. You can download it from the respective app store (Google Play Store for Android devices, Apple App Store for iOS devices, or the HP website for computers).

 

Printer Setup:

  • Ensure that your HP ENVY Pro 6458 is set up correctly and connected to your Wi-Fi network. Follow the instructions in the printer manual for setup.

 

Printer Firmware Update:

  • Check if there are any available firmware updates for your printer. Updated firmware can often resolve connectivity issues.

 

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off both your printer and the device you're using for HP Smart. Wait a few minutes, then turn them back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

 

Check Firewall or Security Settings:

  • Ensure that your firewall or security settings on your computer or mobile device are not blocking the HP Smart app. Sometimes, security software can interfere with connectivity.

 

Reinstall HP Smart:

Had to  restart the the  printer, and find the  correct printer Name. Was only showing as a  HP ENVY 6400 not the  HP 6458E.  After that it all worked well. HP Instant INK was even confused, but they  got  me  going.,
