I have downloaded HP app to both my IPhone & IPad. The IPhone connected no problem. But printer does not show up in Bluetooth settings device list. I’ve already turn off both-still no go

Hi @FCAZ,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing difficulties connecting your iPad to the HP 6100e printer via Bluetooth, even though it connected successfully with your iPhone, follow these steps to troubleshoot the problem:

Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled on the iPad:

  • Go to the Settings > Bluetooth on your iPad and make sure it is turned on.

Check Printer Compatibility:

  • Please verify if the HP 6100e printer supports Bluetooth connectivity as not all printers from HP offer Bluetooth pairing. Generally, printers connect via Wi-Fi for AirPrint or through the HP Smart app.

Restart All Devices:

  • Turn off your iPad, iPhone, and printer. Wait a few seconds and then turn them back on to reset the connection.

Ensure the App is Updated:

  • Make sure that both your devices have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed from the App Store.

Re-check Wi-Fi Settings:

  • Verify that all devices (iPad, iPhone, and printer) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network since Bluetooth might not be the actual connection method with this printer model.

Forget and Reconnect:

  • If the printer was previously connected, try forgetting the device by going to Settings > Bluetooth, tap the info icon next to the printer, and choose "Forget this Device", then try connecting again.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the iPad: Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will erase saved Wi-Fi networks, so you will need to reconnect to Wi-Fi afterwards.

Firmware Update:

  • Check for any printer firmware updates using the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP support website, Official HP® Support, and ensure the printer firmware is up to date.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
