I moved the printer in my house and now need to connect to new WiFi router. The printer is not shown in the HP app to complete the set up. When I click „printer not listed“ it tells me to go to my iOS WiFi settings and connect with the printer there. I can see the printer there but it asks me for a password. I read in a forum here that I should print the „network configuration page“ to find my password by pressing „wireless“ and „information“ button as explained in the user manual but it’s not printing. Please help!

Hi @Mimsnepal,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To resolve the issue of connecting your HP DeskJet 2700e All-in-One to the new WiFi network, follow these steps:y

Check Printer Status: Ensure the printer is powered on and in a ready state. If it’s not responding, try a basic reset by turning it off, waiting a few seconds, and then turning it back on.

Print Network Configuration Page:

  • If the printer isn't printing the network configuration page, try resetting the network settings. This might resolve any temporary glitches that are preventing the page from printing.
  • To reset network settings, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer until the wireless light starts blinking.

Connect Printer to WiFi Using HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your iOS device.
  • Tap on the "+" or "Add Printer" option.
  • Select "Set up a new printer" and follow the on-screen instructions. Make sure you select the correct WiFi network when prompted.
  • If the printer is not listed, try restarting the HP Smart app and your iOS device.

Manually Connect to the Printer’s Direct Network:

  • On your iOS device, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
  • Connect to the printer’s WiFi network (it should be named something like “HP-Setup-...”). This might require you to enter a password; if prompted, enter the default password which is often “12345678” or found on a label on the printer.
  • Once connected, open a web browser and type in the IP address “192.168.223.1” (the common IP for HP printers in setup mode) to access the printer’s setup page.
  • Follow the instructions to connect to your new WiFi network.

Reconnect to Your Home Network:

  • After the printer connects to the new WiFi network, reconnect your iOS device to your home WiFi network.
  • Return to the HP Smart app and check if the printer is now listed. If not, try restarting both the app and your device.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
