I have a hp laserjet pro mfp m148dw I've recently set up a new wifi network, but can't seem to access the wifi setup wizard. I've reset everything to the defaults, as suggested in another post, but I still have no way to set up the new wifi.

Nothing I've done has enabled me to access any kind of wifi setup wizard. In the end, I found a video that said if I connected my printer to the PC via USB, I could then go into the printer app and convert the connection to a wireless connection, which is what I did.

Hi @ShelaghG,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're having trouble connecting your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw to your new Wi-Fi network. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you troubleshoot and set it up:
Ensure Printer is Ready: Make sure your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
Reset Network Settings: You've already reset everything to defaults, which is a good first step. Just to be sure, you can perform a network settings reset on the printer. To do this, go to the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings or setup menu, and look for an option to reset network settings. Confirm the action and allow the printer to reboot.
Access Wi-Fi Setup Wizard: After resetting the network settings, try accessing the Wi-Fi setup wizard again. On the printer's control panel, there should be an option for wireless setup or Wi-Fi setup. Select that option and follow the prompts to connect to your new Wi-Fi network.
Manual Setup via Control Panel: If the setup wizard doesn't work, you can try manually entering your Wi-Fi network information using the printer's control panel. Navigate to the network settings menu and look for an option to enter SSID (network name) and password manually.
WPS Setup (if applicable): Some printers support Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), which allows you to connect your printer to the Wi-Fi network with the push of a button on your router (if your router supports WPS). Check your printer's manual to see if it supports WPS and how to initiate the setup.
USB Connection (Optional): As a last resort, if you're still unable to connect wirelessly, you can temporarily connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable. Once connected, you can use the HP software or printer settings on your computer to configure the Wi-Fi settings for the printer.
HP Smart App: Another option is to use the HP Smart app on your smartphone or tablet to set up the printer. The app provides guided instructions for setting up and connecting your printer to Wi-Fi.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
