@LRO1

Not sure.

I tested (downloaded the most recent version of the Doctor) on 17 May 2019 and the version in the downloaded package (at this writing) is 5.0.4 (and not 5.2.x).

Found it on this support page:

HP Customer Support - Diagnostic tools

Tab / Section Printing Issues

Scroll down - select to download

Answer "yes" to the question about whether your printer is having issues to invoke the download action.

Save the installation file to your computer > Double-Click on the file to extract and run the program.

The version of Windows you are running may influence which version of the Doctor package downloads, though I am not aware that Windows 7 uses a different Doctor program than the one used in Windows 10.  I have no way to test this - I am not any longer running Windows 7 on any of our machines.

Regardless, the download itself (when downloaded from the printer diagnostics website) should work.  If not, try a different browser.  Regardless of all else, you should be able to complete the download.

Hi,

HP Print and Scan Doctor have 2 different versions and therefore you see this difference:

The main version is 5.2.1 which is meant to resolve print and scan doctors, available when you select No on the download page.

Another version - 5.0.4 is specially designed to resolve Printer Offline conditions, available when you select Yes on the download page.

Please browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\HP and delete the Diagnostics folder.

On the top address bar type %appdata% and press enter, then delete the HPPSDr folder, these fully removes any existing version of the tool from your computer.

Next, download and run the latest Print and Scan Doctor Utility version 5.2.1 below and check for any difference:

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/HPPSdr.exe

Please let me know if that may help to resolve the issue with the tool,

Shlomi
