Hi @Sgaglione ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are the troubleshooting steps to help you download the HP Smart app on your desktop:

Check System Requirements: Ensure that your desktop meets the system requirements for the HP Smart app. Make sure your operating system is compatible.

Disable Antivirus/Firewall: Temporarily disable any antivirus or firewall software on your computer, as they might be blocking the installation process.

Clear Browser Cache: If you are downloading the app through a web browser, clear your browser cache and try again.

Try a Different Browser: If you are using a specific browser, try downloading the app using a different browser to see if the issue persists.

Download from Official Source: Make sure you are downloading the HP Smart app from the official HP website or a trusted source. Avoid third-party websites.

Run as Administrator: Right-click on the installer file and select "Run as Administrator" to ensure that you have the necessary permissions.

Check Internet Connection: Ensure that your internet connection is stable and not interrupting the download process.

Update Operating System: Make sure your operating system is up to date with the latest updates and patches.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
