Operating System: Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I recently purchased HP LaserJet Tank MFP 1005w and run Win 8.1 on my laptop but unable to locate the driver for this printer for Win 8.1. It is available for Win 10 but nothing shows in Software/Driver download for Win 8.1. Need immediate help please!

Let’s try installing the printer by using below drivers, please let me know the results:

The setup did run but gets stuck at the below screen each time. I've waited for around 15 mins but it just doesn't go through.

 

I've tried to run the setup twice now, it does detect that I have the wireless version of 1005, asks me to delete old printer and everything but gets stuck on this screen each time. Any pointers?

When I got stuck and wanted to exit that window it did give me an option to "only install software" and I was able to get the printer up and running.

 

How I wish a knowledgebase article is put up on hp website somewhere for this fine printer because getting it to install over 2-3 days isn't fun, thanks for all the help though and please link the software driver to Win 8.1 OS also, thanks!
