I have a new Color Laserjet Pro MFP3301sdw connected to my HP Pavilion laptop. I need to print two-sided. I AM successful IF and only if the document is in .dox format. I am NOT successful if the document is in .pdf format via Adobe. I have tried everything, including talking with HP tech support; the agent said it was an Adobe problem. In replying, please do not use lots of acronyms because I'm not a techie. Thank you, CorneliusNG.

One way to test would be to download an alternate PDF program like Foxit and see if it will print properly. The next thing I would look at is what drivers are installed. If you have Microsoft IPP or Class drivers installed, your printing experience is going to be all over the map depending on applications.

Thank you, Repairatrooper. I was thinking about downloading an alternate PDF program, and almost did so but decided to wait until I had tried other suggestions. I am wondering why you suggested Foxit, perhaps because you, as an expert, think it's most likely to work, or perhaps because it's free. Regarding the drivers I have installed, these are most unlikely to be anything out of the ordinary because, as I said, I'm not a techie. I've never even heard of (literally!) Microsoft IPP or Class drivers. So I will wait a day or so and see if any other suggestions come in and then, if nothing useful, I will look for the Foxit PDF program. Thank you, CorneliusNG.
