On Step 1, # 1 you state to open a web browser window and put in the printer's IP address. How do we find the address of our printer?
I have completed all of Step 1 multiple times and am not having luck with getting my printer to work.

@baldyninja01, Thank you for sticking with us — I know how frustrating it feels when you're all set to print and instead you're met with “Rendering failed”. Let’s work through this together.
You’re absolutely right — some browsers may flag the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) as “unsafe” because it's not using a trusted certificate. But don’t worry, it's safe to proceed if you're connected to your home network and the IP address matches your printer.
Here’s what to do:
Proceed Anyway (Securely)
When you see the “Connection is not private” or “Warning” page, look for Advanced or Details.
Click on “Proceed to [IP address] (unsafe)” — it’s your printer’s local server, so it's okay.
Once inside, navigate to Settings > Printer Updates or Firmware Update, and check for updates.
If your browser completely blocks it, try using a different one like Microsoft Edge or Mozilla Firefox, which usually allow bypassing.
If you’d prefer not to use the web interface, you can also update the firmware using the HP Smart App:
Open HP Smart > Select your printer > Printer Settings > Advanced Settings.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
