After installing new HP ink cartridge, system would print alignment page, but would not complete alignment scan. System just continually said scanning page, but nothing happened. After resetting system and starting over, now system will not print alignment page, but continually shows "printing" dialog. System will print other pages when sent from computer. Connection to computer is wireless. Also, isolating printer to be standalone does notchange the problem.

Hi @Esully,
Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that the printer still does not print the alignment page.
This issue could occur if the scanner mechanism is defective.
Hence, I suggest that you make a copy from the printer and check if the copy is fine. If the copy does not work, then it is a hardware issue with the scanner mechanism.
You have a good day ahead.

I understand that your HP ENVY 5530 e-All-in-One Printer does not complete alignment successfully.
Let's go through a few steps to troubleshoot this issue.
And here's the step by step guide for you in the link: Alignment Unsuccessful
Let me know how this works.

None of this works. I can print documents, but cannot print an alignment page. When requested, the printer just continually shows "printing alignment page" with the rotating symbol, but nothing happens. If I cancel the action, the printer shows "cancelling" with the rotating symbol, but again nothing happens. I have to turn off printer to reset. Will reinstalling printer help? I'm reluctant to do this until I have confidence I won't create more problems.

Hi @Esully,
Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you cannot make a copy from the unit.
This issue could occur if the scanner is defective.
However, the cartridges will be aligned to the default value and you will only be able to print from the computer.
You have a good day ahead.
