Hi @MITUL1985,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Deskjet 3540 printer is not showing the option to print on both sides (automatically duplex) after upgrading to Windows 11, there are a few steps you can take to try and resolve the issue. Here's what you can do:

Check Printer Compatibility: Ensure that your HP Deskjet 3540 printer is compatible with Windows 11. You can visit the HP official website and look for updated drivers and software specifically designed for Windows 11.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP official website or use HP's built-in software to download and install the latest printer drivers for your HP Deskjet 3540 that are compatible with Windows 11.
  • To check for updates through Windows:
    • Right-click on the Start button and select "Device Manager."
    • Locate your printer under "Printers" or "Print queues," right-click on it, and select "Update driver."

Windows Update: Make sure your Windows 11 operating system is up to date. Microsoft may release updates that include fixes and compatibility improvements for various devices, including printers.

Printer Properties:

  • Open the "Printers & Scanners" settings on your Windows 11 computer.
  • Find your HP Deskjet 3540 printer in the list of installed printers, and click on it.
  • Select "Manage" or "Printer Properties" (the wording may vary depending on your version of Windows).
  • Check the settings within the printer properties window to see if there is an option to enable duplex printing. Sometimes, this option is controlled at the driver level.

Reinstall Printer:

  • If updating the drivers doesn't work, consider removing the printer from your computer and then adding it back. To do this, go to "Printers & Scanners" in Windows 11, select your printer, and click "Remove device." Then, add the printer again.

Check Printer Manual: Refer to your printer's user manual or visit the HP support website for specific instructions on how to enable automatic duplex printing for your HP Deskjet 3540 printer. It's possible that there's a printer-specific setting or driver feature you need to adjust.

Remember that software and driver compatibility can sometimes be an issue when upgrading to a new operating system, so ensuring that you have the latest drivers and firmware for your printer is crucial to resolving compatibility issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
