I still can't see it. Do you have any other device connected to this printer to check if it happen from there too?

I have a laptop PC and two iPhones that can all connect through the same home wireless network, and use all functions available on the HP printer.  Something that is interesting is, on the problem PC, I am able to scan a document to this PC from the printer but if I ask the printer to print anything from the PC, I get an error.   So, there are some communication paths that work but not the print request.

We would have to connect the printer to TCP/IP port- follow the below instructions-

--->Touch on the wifi icon ((i)) on the printer, and take down the IP address

a. Click Start/Devices and Printers.  Right-click on your HP Printer.  Select Printer Properties.  Select the Ports tab at the top.

b.    Select Add Port.  Select Standard TCP/IP Port.  Select New Port.

c.    Follow the Add Port Wizard.  Under Printer Name or IP Address, .  Example:  192.168.1.15.  The IP address will be copied under Port Name.

d.    Select Next and Finish the Wizard.

The PC can find the printer fine.  The issue is the inability to either install an updated driver or uninstall the old one.  It all comes back to this.   Look at the previous post with the image of the windows installer message.  I have tried many ways to do this without success.  If I could get this done I think my initial print error would be corrected.

I see that you have already tried all the necessary troubleshooting steps and yet the issue persists. I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region for further assistance.

Is it possible to get direct one on one support if the warranty is expired?

I have sent you a private message with the contact details.

I have great news, the problem is solved.  I was not able to access the port as described in the support recommendation, but I was able to through a path I followed in the trouble shooter.  After changing the port with the correct IP address, the printer now works.  Thank you for all your input.

I'm glad to hear that and you're most welcome. Do get back to us in the future for further assistance.

Have a nice day!:)
