Unable to print using hp 1510 from Mac OS Big Sur

I have the same printer and problem. The issue is with the drivers that HP are issuing. They are not compatible with Big Sur for that printer. The security clearances have not been updated by HP. I have tried all the work arounds suggested by the people on the web but none work.  Big Sur has been available for a while now. I ended up getting a new Canon printer as my HP 1510 was now useless. If HP can't get its' act together and make their old printers usable again for Mac users using Big Sur I pity them.
