HP OfficeJet Pro 9020
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I have an HP Officejet Pro 9020 printer working on a Windows 10 local network, the printer has been working fine for 18 months until this week, 4 PC’s stopped printing showing the printer was offline, I tried removing the printer and reinstalling it using HP SMART tool but the app was unable to find the printer on the local network but did see it has a wireless printer, the only way I could restore a local connection was to remove the printer and add it in Windows settings using the IP address of the printer to connect. Although I can now print, because I was unable to reinstall the drivers and software using the HP Smart app I am now unable to scan documents, I have downloaded a ran HP Print & Scan Doctor with similar problems to HP Smart, at the end of the diagnostics scan I received an Error Code: OW_4XX_OWSFW00000.

Can anyone help.

Hi,

Let's start with a full restart cycle, as such an issue on several computers may also be affected from any network problem.

Start by restarting your router, as well as any other access point or extenders iin your home if you may have any such, allow it several minutes till the internet connection returns.

Now restart the printer and check if you may see any difference.

If the same persists, is the printer connected wirelessly or with an Ethernet cable?

Shlomi
